There is something truly magical about walking into a greenhouse filled with spring flowering annuals and hangers. That riot of color, the smell of hundreds of blossoms, the delight of watching a hummingbird move from one flower to another on the fuchsia hanger.

We suspect that this is the reason that despite our front display area filled with a selection of these plants for sale, many folks still like to come down to the greenhouses to poke and peak around. We take great pride in our reputation of growing very high quality plants for the spring garden market. Every aspect of our production is geared toward one goal; the success of our plants in your garden. And being a smaller grower, our approach has always been to provide a larger selection of varieties in smaller quantities. 50 varieties of tomatoes, 12 different types of sunflowers, 10 colors of million bells, we offer a smorgasbord for every taste.

Although we have never been certified as an organic growing operation, we employ most of these same organic practices. Our one deviation is the use of a commercial grade fertilizer for feeding the plants. If you have ever been in a greenhouse that uses fish emulsion or seaweed extract you know why we elect to use Peter’s Plant Food instead. All the annuals, veggie plants, herbs, and perennials that we produce are grown in fiber paks and pots. These containers made of recycled cardboard produce a healthier plant, and better yet, can be shredded and added to the compost pile –better for the plant, better for the environment.
